This was a tie between Jonny Lang and John Mayer's "Heavier Things." Lang won out by dint of birthplace. Like me, he's from North Dakota (he was born in Casselton). 

My first exposure to him was this CD(his third?)'s "Red Light." The singer didn't seem to me to be -- a youngster, really.
