I really appreciated your efforts on the Family Tree. It tweeked my interst into looking further. I found a web site www.klaschka.com. It is a company in Germany. I sent an E-mail and got the following response. I am going to converse further with them and you could too, if you would like. I am a novice with the name Klaschka and all that you have done. I particularly was interested in Dr. Klaschka's mention of Landskron which is the beginning of our tree. Please write back with any new information and I will too.

Thank you for interest in our common name Klaschka.
Yes, this family name is somewhat common in Germany now - I guess about 200 families. Our ancestors are germans, which stem from Maehren (not from Boehmen), being dislocated 1945/1946 by Czechs together with another 3 Million Germans. Boehmen and Maehren formed the German Country Sudetenland, which is occupied since 1945 by the Czechs (all Germans had to go out after world war II).
My own ancestors were sitting in Stangendorf, Abtsdorf and Zwittau in the so called Schönhengstgau - You must seek this now in the Eastern Part of Czechoslovakia. The name was also common in Triebitz near Landskron.
I believe, that our name originally was Klas - Klaus, which is a german forename. In the Hussit wars (Jan Hus was a religious czech reformator in the 16. century) the name was diminuated in the same way as many other german family names from Klas to Klaska / Klaschka (Hubert to Hupka, Sebastian = Wastl to Waschka, Hirsch to Hirschka and so on).
Together with my Mother Berta and two brothers Rudolf and Gerhard I was dislocated 1946 to the southern part of Western Germany nearby Stuttgart. My father died 1944 as german soldier in russia.
I studied Physik and Elektrotechnik in the university of Stuttgart and started my own company in automation in 1964 (You can find some details in the home page www.Klaschka.com).
My family is situated in the northern part of the Schwarzwald (Black forest) between Stuttgart and Pforzheim. I am 68 years old. Nevertheless I own two pretty kids of 7 and 5 years (Walter and Annele).

At least I would be enjoyed to hear something about You - where do You live and what else.
