Memories

Some of my best, along with my happiest and sometimes

saddest moments were spent at a job that most of the time

was more challenging then any one can imagine. But It was good

for most of the almost 18 years I spent helping care

for the special kids' I worked with.

"But I loved it most of the time anyway."

As most of my friends know I moved away from that life,

and one of the biggest reasons was because of what

I'm going to tell you about on this page. No matter who we are

I believe we all have one thing in common, and that Is "Loss"

be it a child, a member of your family or even an animal, a

pet. I added a few pages dedicated to some of the kids I worked with.

This page came from another idea I had come up with while working at

the school. A project that 'til today I am quite proud to say I had

a hand in helping with.

A playground was built for the kids, and on it was going to be a path of bricks. People were going to be able to put their names on a brick for (if I remember correctly)$25. My thought was to dedicate a brick for each child lost and in order to do this I figured a way to raise enough to put each name on a brick. Over many years I collected quite a large amount of movies, so what I did was I sold many of them, and raised what I needed. One other worker at the school decided that I shouldn't do it alone so they helped me some. As a result, the path has been laid and from what I understand the names were all put on. I no longer live there so it saddens me to say I may never see the path. I was promised a picture to see what it looked like but as yet not a picture has been sent, but I will wait patiently. In the meantime, I dedicate this page to all my "Special Little Friends". God Bless You all.
