Welcome to Napcat's Book Nook
Here at the Book Nook, you'll be able to find
all kinds of books. There is a listening room
for music as well, sound-proofed, so the readers
aren't disturbed, where there are headphones and
comfortable chairs. There are chairs, couches
and good lighting everywhere, for when you need a
quiet spot to look at a newspaper or a new
mystery.
In the summer, all the fans and the a/c will
keep you cool and comfortable. There are ceiling
fans out on the covered patio, as well, where the
rock fountain splashes softly and the tables are
just big enough to hold an iced tea or iced latte
and your reading material. The adirondack chairs
all have foot rests, in case you feel like putting
your feet up and grabbing a nap. Of course we
have all the summer's best beach novels and new
mysteries for your reading pleasure. All summer
long, the kitchen has lots of cold, boiled shrimp
and hot sauce, shrimp cocktail and shrimp salad.
Shrimp po'boys, too!!
In the winter, we light a fire in the fireplace
in the reading room. The kitchen is always open,
so you can enjoy a latte or some tea, or a good
brandy after dinner.
There is always a good selection of soups,
sandwiches, salads and desserts for you. You
can't concentrate if you're hungry!
There is a chessboard and checker boards will be
in place soon and eventually this place will
include a webtv room, so you can go online. We
have even installed videophones, so if you have
one at home, you can check on your family
face-to-face. See, they're fine!! You can stay
another hour or two.
When you need a break from noise and hurry,
come on in and relax. You're always welcome
here!
