Apple Crisp

Source: Theresa of the "Bookies"

I rarely use a recipe anymore and had to hunt up a couple i 'learned' from...then had to test them  :) .... today our part of ontario is bracing for the storm that's coming and the damage-force winds accompanying it..I can't think of a better time to think of warm comfort food <anxious smile> ...anyway, although i usually make apple crisp by sight, here is one recipe that's pretty close

Oven Temp: 375 Serves: 6 (or 4 hungry Bookies)

Ingredients:
4-5 Each Apples (eg. Spy...if using McIntosh, add bit extra flour)
2/3 Cup Flour (All Purpose)
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Sugar (Brown); packed
1/3 Cup Butter (Unsalted); or margerine

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven.
2. Peel, core and slice apples.
3. Spray 9" square pan with Pam.
4. Arrange apples in pan.
5. In bowl, combine powdered ingredients.
6. Cut up butter/marg. till mixture is crumbly.
7. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
8. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-60 min.

Can be doubled without problem...use larger pan and bake same amount time
