~WOMEN: OUR WORLD'S STRENGTH~

God, grant me the Serentity
to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
and the Wisdom to know the difference.

The Angel said, "but you have made her soft". "She is soft, agreed the Lord, I also made her tough". "You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish".

HERA_ was the name of a Women's Crisis Center,
for Rape, Incest and Sexually Abused Survivors. I was a counselor there for two years.
Being a Survivor myself, I felt I could better understand their pain and anguish. This comes during/after these heinous crimes/acts
perpetrated by some very sick individuals.

Our Motto was: and still is for me and many others, to, 'Call ourselves Survivors not Victims'.
Staying a victim gives the perpetrater more power over you, disabling you from getting on with the rest of your life.

Believe me, you can and will be able to survive this. First you must talk about it to someone, your Doctor or a Close Friend,
then go into counseling. These are very important steps to take. It's not going to be easy, I can/do Empathize. You can get through this. Enough has been taken away from you, now, take that power back.

I want this Web Page to be about Children, Women and Men, my Sisters and Brothers in Crisis and Survivors. I sincerely hope that you will, ~Triumph over Tragedy~.

"It isn't until you come to the spiritual understanding of who you are
...not necessarily a religious feeling, but deep down,
the spirit within, that you can begin to take control."

~Oprah Winfrey {1954-}

Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling with the mistaken belief that you cannot bear the pain.
But you have already borne the pain. What you have not done is
feel all you are beyond that pain.
