"Barricades & Brickwalls"
Kasey Chambers
Our price: $12.99 | You save: $5.99
available here
Her engaging blend of country, folk, and rock has earned Kasey
Chambers many comparisons to Lucinda Williams, which is high praise
indeed. Williams herself even helps out on a tune here, as does
Buddy Miller, Matthew Ryan, and Paul Kelly. Chambers tosses in a
Gram Parsons cover and even joins forces with power trio (and fellow
Aussies) the Living End.

"Lovesick Broke & Driftin'"
Hank Williams III
Our price: $13.99 | You save: $3.99
available here
Two parts honky-tonk (à la Senior) and one part country-rock
(à la Junior), Hank III's music is brash and bold. Sure, he
puts a lot of effort into cultivating his wild-boy,
drinkin'-and-fightin' image, but he pulls it off in convincing
fashion. "Lovesick" isn't a classic top to bottom, but there are
enough brilliant moments here to satisfy any fan of stone country.

"La Musica De Baldemar Huerta"
Freddy Fender
Our price: $13.99 | You save: $2.99
available here
Fender's new one is a sparkling Tejano and conjunto affair, proving
that the former Baldemar Huerta, who'll turn 65 later this year, can
still sing with great expressiveness. This gorgeous record is
certainly a crowning achievement for Fender, who is recuperating
from a successful kidney transplant.

"Almeria Club Recordings"
Hank Williams Jr.
Our price: $13.99 | You save: $3.99
available here
Hank Jr. retraces his daddy's steps, recording this album in two of
Senior's old haunts: the Almeria Community Club in Alabama and the
Louisiana Hayride stage in Shreveport, Louisiana. The nostalgia trip
results in some of Bocephus's best work in some time on this raw,
blues-drenched roadhouse record. Nickel Creek and Kid Rock (there he
is again) each have a guest spot.
