This is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to my friend, Rachel. She has lured two men away from home (that I know of) using her comely womanly wiles to Illinois. Then, after she's had her way with them, she leaves them in Chicago because it's better than the pound. My apologies to M. and A., the two guys...but knowing Rachel, it was worth the plane ticket to Chicago, wasn't it?.

Where do you want to go?

I keep leaving lovers in Chicago
It’s not because I really just don’t care
But when I tell them I’m the boss
They somehow all get lost
Somewhere between Midway and O’Hare.

I like to go out for a fun time and a beer
Or simply have a drink at Navy Pier
but if they think I want to marry ‘em
I’ll just leave ‘em at Shedd Aquarium
or in the shadows of  the Tower they call Sears.

And now that I’m another year older
I’m looking for a man, not just a boy
Well,  Chicago’s the Windy City
And my lovers have all been pretty
transient, blown away in Illinois.
