FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENTS OF COLONIAL ARTILLERY IN WORLD WAR 2

Artillery units were raised in some British colonies before and during the war.  The largest of these was in India, covered by its own page.  Elsewhere there were variously field, coast and AA unit, both regular and the local equivalent of the TA.  This page only deals with those that were field artillery.  Apart from Newfoundland (a Crown Colony during the war having been an independent Dominion until 1934), their officers were from the Royal Artillery as where some Warrant Officers and NCOs in some cases.
