DON'T READ IF YOU WANT TO BE SURPRISED AT YOUR CONCERT I went to the Friday night concert (7-21-00) in Philly, PA at the First Union Spectrum. Our seats were in section 106, row 7. So we could see perfectly. Grant it, not as well as the people in the way front, but there were only about 30 rows ahead of us. Plus, the big screen kinda helped us, so we didn't need to use our binoculars. But at my last *N Sync concert, we were so far back, that I couldn't tell who was who, but here I could tell, even without looking at the screen! (LOL, I don't care if it sounds lame!) When the concert was ready to start, a man walked out on stage, and he tried to get us all pumped up, and then he said, "My name is Steve Fatone," and then we all realized he was Joey's brother, so everyone went crazy. Then he introduced Ron Irizarry. He is the debut artist on FuManSkeeto Productions . He sang four songs, and he played guitar with the songs. I could only understand 2 songs' lyrics. There was like, something like "I'm going away today..." and then "We are young and free yea, we are young and free, yea" so everyone understood those lyrics, and was singing them with him. Then it was Pink's turn. My opinion on Pink is that her music is cool, but she is just so fake. Like the pink hair really bugs me, and how in her video she's shown like holding her breasts. But she came out and sang 4 or 5 songs. "There You Go" was a really good performance. So everyone was singing along to that. She said that Philly was her hometown so her friends and family were in the audience. Then Steve came out again, and he said that there would be about a 25-minute intermission and then *N Sync would be out. So everyone screamed of course. They pulled down a screen and showed a small video about how you could win a trip to nyc for two and meet *N Sync . But then we had to wait for the intermission. But then....OMG!!! The stage black curtain or whatever fell down and then the screams started again. We were beginning! Then the tune "I got no strings to hold me down, to make me fret, to make me frown, I got no strings to hold me down, I got no strings on me," played, and they fell down to the stage. They started to sing "No Strings Attached" with all this puppet-like choreography. It was so cool, then the guys took the visible strings off, one by one, and then flew again. Then they went into "I Want You Back," but I didn't notice anything unique about that. Then they all went backstage, except for Lance, and he started to say how fans were the best and all so this next song was all for us (or all for me baby!) and they all came out and sang "God Must Have Spent." It sounded so good! The stage had pop up pedistools, just the right size for each of the guys, and they all rose up into the air on them. That was really cool. Then they had to go backstage again, and Ananda Lewis came up on the screen and was talking about TNL (Total *N Sync Live) and she said that we could vote for the song we wanted *N Sync to sing next. The choices were "Yankee Doodle Dandy," "Three Blind Mice," "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," and "Tearin' Up My Heart." You cheered for the song you wanted. Now I really wanted to hear the star song, so I voted for "Twinkle, Twinkle," but the crowd, surprisingly chose "Tearin' Up My Heart." Oh well. They had a screen behind the stage with signs going by like on TRL. At the end of the song, they all spread out on different parts of the stage: JC-right, Chris and Justin-center on stage, Lance-left, Joey-in front of screen. Justin then came out by himself, so of course the crowd went wild. He started on this rap beat box thing, and it was crazy. But it was kinda cool. You can bet he was like, "Let me rap! I wanna rap in the concert, yo!" Then the drummer played, and he was battling with the drummer, between his raps and the drum playing. Then they sang "It's Gonna Be Me," and it was like perfect-JC even hit his long note! That's when the fat lady in front of my friend decided to stand up on her chair. That was annoying, but then she sat down. But that performance was so cool! It took a while, but then they came back on stage and there was a sofa and two chairs. Lance had the chair on the right, Chris on the one on the left, JC was sitting on the corner of the couch, and Joey was next to him, then Justin. JC said, "Okay, we set up a little living room scene, and now we're gonna sing a few songs." So they sang "I Drive Myself Crazy," but they sang it upbeat, and kinda jazzy. Then they did "I Thought She Knew," and that was so good! They all stood up then, and it was a cappella (duh) and it sounded so good! They left, and on the screen, there was a video. They were all in the quick change room, with like clowns and monkeys, it was really funny! They played pool and JC looked in the mirror and was so cute! They played arcade games, and Johnny Wright counted the members, "1, 2, 3, 4....?" Lance was missing. They went and watched TV and went through channels and there was like this robot in Lance's place. Chris said, "Looks like Lance, but....?" Then they landed on ABC, and there was Lance on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? He was going for 1 mil, and Regis asked him the final question. It was like "Which one of these is not considered a Pokemon?" a) Jigglypuff, b) Frodo, c) Squirtle, d) Pikachu. Lance didn't know, and he used a lifeline, and called *N Sync. They allpicked up their cell phones and Lance read the question, and they were discussing it, andthen the timer ran out. So then he had to use another lifeline, and he polled the audience. (Was I supposed to know the answer?) Justin said, "Guys, you have to help Lance, weneed your help, cuz he's about to be paid!" So the audience voted for Frodo. Lance wentwith that, and he won! So as all the confetti fell for millionaire on the screen, tons ofgreen and white confetti flew out from these blowers on the floor, and the guys came out in these cool money outfits and sang “Just Got Paid.” There was confettiEVERYWHERE! Near the end of the song, the guys tried to get into a ‘club’ but they didn’t have enough money, because JC held up a dollar bill, and that’s all anyone had. They pointed to the list, but the guy was like, “Nope, not on here!” But finally, they did get in, and they danced, and behind them was a bunch of girls. Then came “Space Cowboys.” This, I decided, has the coolest dance move ever. That thing where they bend down and flail their arms, I have no clue if you would know what I’m talking about, but it is so cool! Like, they were kinda surfing? Also, each licked his finger and touched it to his butt. That dance was totally awesome! Then, Justin was wheeled out on a stretcher, and they had an operating room on the screen, and the other guys were trying to shock him. Then Justin sat up, “I was hanging with the fellows...” It was so great! That dance was so funny, because after every chorus, they would pretend to be dizzy or pretend to throw up. Then at the very end they all fell to the ground, in a very sickly way! Then, this part was the best of the whole concert. They were all on stage with stools, and JC said, “I think we need to get a little closer to the fans.” So they moved their stools up a little, and Justin said “What? What are we doing?” Then Chris said, “He wants to be closer to the fans.” Then Justin was like, “What? That’s crazy!” Then JC kept moving them up, and Justin kept asking what he said, and then they were at the edge of the stage, and JC was like, “A little closer, guys?” And the stage rose and slowly came all the way to the middle of the floor, and stopped RIGHT next to us. Then they started singing “This I Promise You.” The stage was rotating, and right as JC’s verse came, he spun towards us, he was singing it to us! I made eye contact with Lance, and Joey laughed at my sister. LOL, it was so awesome. I have like a million pics of that! Then, they came out and had all this computer stuff on the screen. Then “Digital Getdown” began. It was such a good performance. Then the finale was, guess... “Bye Bye Bye!” That was also a really good performance! *************************************** nsync_nstyle.tripod.com
