What Is #NZBDSM?

#NZBDSM is an IRC chat room on undernet.org for people dedicated to exploring BDSM in New Zealand. Our channel attracts people from all over New Zealand, including the local munch group and play party organisers.

 #NZBDSM, like this website, does not belong to any one person but is owned by the community it serves. The channel is managed by all, ops (operators) and regulars as a whole, with contributions from everyone whenever a policy is needed. Input for this website is always welcomed.

Acceptance?

The BDSM lifestyle is often not well understood but through resources such as this website and the channel, the fledging New Zealand community can grow and find some form of acceptance in mainstream Aotearoa.  People involved in this lifestyle are not freaks or dangerous perverts, but consenting adults who choose to make this type of role-playing part of their lives. Representing ourselves responsibly and rationally can only enhance acceptance of ourselves and our chosen lifestyle.
