Legacy Of Love
What legacy will I leave for you...
What of me for you to keep
When I am no longer here to share...
What to leave that would be worth the claiming ?
There will be no wealth as most men think of wealth...
No hoarded treasures gained as payment for my hours...
No jewels....or gold...
Or aging paper with numbers printed
And a signature that certifies it's worth.
There will be none of these for this was not our way.
And I can but give to you...
That which you have given me...
That makes me worth remembering...
You gave me love.
I will leave you mine.
I think you would not ask for more
And I, I could not give you less.
