Omar's Basement combines diverse elements from various confusing childhoods
in the myriad isolations of Australia to fabricate a music that one reviewer
rather flagrantly called "bonkers acid blues splat pop" and that others
have refused to classify. To stop the confusion (and start a new one) the
band has relented to accept the label Acid Folk. Says Josh; "It doesn't
mean anything to me but I'm just a drummer anyway." (Just a drummer, paleeze!)
We also occasionally like to dabble with Fractal
Jazz.
