The first picture is Jesus in the manger painted in the Victorian style. Onalee prefers this style. Her favorite artist is Adolphe William Bougereau.
The paintings are painted and fired in a kiln. It takes several applications before the proper detail and depth are achieved. This painting shows a young girl . She first took a photograph and then painted it on a plate. Most people then use a plate hanger to hang the plate on a wall.
Onalee particularly enjoys the Victorian era. This painting reflects that interest.
This is Onalee's intrepretation of a painting of a sailor. The painting is on a plaque, a very popular gift form.
