Ocular manifestations of AIDS: Unusual Presentation

Dr. Vijaykumari, Malaysia

Query

Is it common to see two simulataneous but different pathologies in each eye of the same patient with AIDS? Recently I had an HIV positive patient with Ocular toxoplasmosis in one eye and Cytomegalovirus retinitis in the other eye at the same examination. I wonder if this is common. Has anybody seen similar cases?

Anticipating an early reply. Thanking you in anticipation.

Yours sincerely
