Will our Family Trees, will our Tree of Life, will our end come when our trees can no
longer diffuse and refine the poison we place in the air? Will our roots shrivel and die as
they become exposed, our earth dwindling to nothing as we rip apart the one glue that
holds it together?
Tough questions in a tough world. Amazingly enough, there is a simple, painless solution to the problems we’ve created: plant a tree. Water it. Give it the space to flourish. Celebrate its existence and the existence of all trees everywhere. Without them, our lives wouldn’t be. In the United States, April is the month the National Arbor Day Foundation celebrates spring by encouraging citizens of our earth to plant trees. For ten dollars, the foundation will send you ten trees, ready to plant with instructions! How simple -- replace the natural resource we have so greedily expended. If you’re not able to physically plant a tree, the National Arbor Day Foundation will reserve and protect 2500 square foot of rain forest in your name for ten dollars. 
The foundation generously gives advice on how to celebrate the day in all of our communities, enabling us to share our awareness of the fragility of our Mother Earth. I encourage each of you to consider becoming involved with a celebration this month, whether it be with a group in your community, or whether you do it privately.
