Papyrus Dimensions:


      5.0 cm wide x 3.8 cm high
     
Description:

     Small rectangular fragment from a papyrus document.
     Irregular edges on three sides.
     Two or three minor insect holes.
     Text is slightly faded due to recovery from mummy cartonnage.
     Incomplete documentary text.
     
Recto

    
      Five incomplete lines of text.   
      Written in black ink.
      Written in a fine Greek script.
      The writing is along the fibers.
    
 
     
Verso
     
      Three incomplete lines of text.
      Written in black ink.
      Written in a Greek script.
      The writing is across the fibers.
     

Note:

     This fragment was recovered from the cartonnage 
     of a Ptolemaic Period mummy mask. *
     The fragment is mounted in glass.
