Deep Purple - 1985 Perfect Strangers Tour

The images on this page are from Deep Purple's Perfect Strangers Tour in Chicago, Ill. February 16 & 17 1985. I was there both nights. The band was in top form. Ritchie Blackmore was his typical self and ignited the crowd with his guitar playing. Ian Paice was as tight as ever, pounding constant, precise beats throughout both evenings. Jon Lord played his Hammond Organ in his usual, aggressive style. Ian Gillan was in the mood for giving the crowd what they paid for, and Roger Glover delivered some steady / powerful bass lines. This was one of the best Rock N' Roll shows I have ever attended (still to this day).

This was the Return of Deep Purple (mark 2) in the 80's. The best Deep Purple lineup that ever existed, and the best Deep Purple lineup that will ever exist.

Long Live Ritchie Blackmore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
