Mark Molendyk #17 Mark became involved in racing in 1987 wrenching on #84 figure-8 at Lakeside Speedway,then at Coloraodo National Speedway. A few years later Mark took some time off to get married and raise a family.Mark and his wife Kay have 4 children,the oldest J.D.who now drives the #84 figure-8 at Colorado National Speedway, won "Rookie of the Year" in 2000.In 2000 Mark jumped back into racing helping Joe and Stevie Gallegos with their Supermodifieds.In 2001 they asked him to drive their back up car #17 Maloy/Gambler. In Marks rookie campaign he missed out on Rookie of the Year honors by only a few points,due to some late season problems.Along the way Mark won the trophy for most b-main wins and finished sixth in the year-end points standings for 2001.In 2002 ,with a year racing under his "belts",and with his secret weapon #17 "Mini Me",Mark hopes to make it an even better year of racing in 2002. Update:2002 was a Great year for Mark.. He amassed a 4th place Main Event finish,a second place Main Event finish and drove his way to the winners circle with 2 Main Event victories! Mark also was ranked in the top 25 in the Nation for Supermodifieds! Great Job MARK!
