The old flea market building is now a mini mall (named Westgate Mall) with several businesses, such as JC Penny, Movies & More, Cash Today, Somewhen (Goodwill), Pet Fort, Modernette Beauty Salon, a travel agency, and more. And apparently construction is planned for the backside of the building as well with the only occupant rumor so far being Dad's CD's.

A chinese resturant has opened in Pennington, and from personal experience I can tell you the food is great.

Fodi's is closed

A new flea market has opened in Dryden in the old Payless building.

Pennington now has a Dollar Wise open right next to Sears.

Carter Hall nursing home closed down and the building has been donated to the Lee Co. Coalition for Health. They are planning to turn it in to a long-term residential drug rehabilitation center.
