• JONESVILLE — A Lee County man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison last week for firearms violations. Sheriff Gary Parsons said Marvin Castle, 22, 202 Mulberry St., Pennington Gap, was recently prosecuted on numerous charges related to 18 burglaries, some of which involved the theft of firearms. Castle was sentenced in Lee County Circuit Court to six months in boot camp for the state crimes, but the involvement of weapons triggered federal involvement by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Due to at least three prior felony convictions, Castle was sentenced as an armed career criminal.
