Lee County PSA worker suspended

• JONESVILLE — A Lee County Public Service Authority worker has been suspended without pay after being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. According to court records, Timothy Dean Mullins, 39, Route 1, Box 324, Pennington Gap, was stopped March 1 about 2 p.m. inside the Norton city limits after a Norton police officer observed his vehicle crossing the center line three times and running off the road once. Police said Mullins failed three field sobriety tests and admitted to drinking beer. Two breath tests indicated blood alcohol content levels of 0.157 and 0.21, the warrant states. PSA Director James “Doc” Parsons said Mullins was driving a PSA vehicle when arrested and has since been suspended from his job.
