"Sum Sum Summertime"
Little girls A-Line summer top with shaped shoulders that overlap from back to front. It can be made with or without the ruffle at the hem. The top is unlined but has front and back facings. If it is made without the bottom ruffle it can be lined. The top (or dress) has a pocket detail on the center front. Short bloomers have elastic at the waist and leg. The summer top has been lengthened into a dress. To add a bottom ruffle add 2 inches to the width of the ruffle pattern. Note: Piping detail can be added to the top or dress and also makes turning the pocket easier. By using voile or a thin cotton rosebud print and adding some dainty lace trim to the hem edges, the top and short bloomers make a darling shorty pajama set.
