"A Perfect Variety" is the politics-and-more supershow of the Manhattan Neighborhood Network's public-access line-up. Initially the show was going to debut in the summer of 1996 as the creation of then 15-year old Ted Bauer, but due to monetary constraints and parental disapproval, it was postponed until the summer of 1997, when it was originally going to be a variety or a sketch comedy show. However, due to the lack of available acting talent, the focus was switched from sketch comedy to a political program
The purpouse of "A Perfect Variety" is to deal with a variety of issues from a variety of different standpoints so as to better enlighten viewers about those issues (hey, nice work covering my ass on the title after I switched the show's focus). Each edition of "A Perfect Variety" focuses on many community-based issues from an array of perspectives so as to educate and entertain simultaneously.
"A Perfect Variety" is all over the public relations map, having been covered in prestigious papers such as The Horace Mann Record, The Upper East Side Resident and the New York Observer. Look for soon-to-materialize appearances in community newspapers such as Our Town and TechNews.
