Hendal has not as yet shared any information on his backround with his new companions, but as the Dwarves have only recently reappeared on the surface world in the last few centuries, it is assumed he grew up and was trained in his skills in one of the great Dwarven cities, since very few Dwarves live outside of their cities for more than a few years. What is known is that Hendall is a powerful fighter and artificer, and is an expert blacksmith. He can make weapons and armor of exceptional quality, and has a definite artistic streak as seen by the jewelry he makes and the fine detail on the weapons and armor he constructs.

Hendall (as is normal for Dwarves) is gruff and tends to only speak when neccesary. He seems to respect hi teammates, even if he seems not to like them at times (Dwarves just aren't good at showing affection...). Presumably he joined the Edge Guard to improve his combat and magic abilities, and to study the work of other artificers and weaponmakers who supply the Guard's exceptional equipment.
