Welcome to our Good News Room.

Why don't you pull up a chair, relax, and make yourself at home.

We are glad that you can stop by for a moment and visit our humble web site. It's not much, but hey, its home. We apologize for the blackout. Our electrical wiring is not yet set up so we have to use candles for now (plus the black background really highlights our opening title.)

Do you like our opening caption on the main page? Well, it was taken directly from the Bible (John 1:1). Pretty cool, huh? This verse is actually a part of the good news that we want to share with you today/tonight.

No, please don't go! We are not religious fanatics who want to increase our membership. We are also not going to ask you to give us your money for financial support. All we are asking is that you give us a chance to tell you the good news.

Thank you for staying.

But before we can tell you the good news, we have to tell you the bad news first. That's right. We also have bad news. The bad news is that we are all sinners (that includes you and me). We are born as sinners. Have you noticed that it is easier for us to commit sin, than to do good works. That is because we are natural-born sinners. The Bible even states that

"All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:23)
No one is exempted. Bottomline: Everybody is a sinner.

"So what if I am a sinner?" you might ask. Well, that sort of brings us to the next bad news. The second bad news is that there is a penalty or punishment for our sins, and that is spiritual death.

"The wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)

Sooner or later, we are all going to die physically. But because of our sins, we have to go through another death; a death that involves our spirit.

So what can we do now? How can we save ourselves from this kind of death? That question leads us to our third bad news: We can do nothing to save ourselves.

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 14:12)

"Maybe if we do enough good works, we can save ourselves from this spiritual death." Well... nice try, but... WRONG!

A man is not justified by the works of the law." (Galatians 2:16)

Well, so far, the situation seems pretty hopeless for all of us: We are all sinners, we are all going to die spiritually, and there is nothing we can do about it. But this webpage is named "Good News Room" for a reason.

Now, for the good news that we have all been waiting for:
The way of salvation that we cannot attain by ourselves... has been provided by GOD Himself!!
"For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten SON (the LORD JESUS) that whosoever believeth in HIM (JESUS) should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

This is what our opening verse is all about: Jesus, the living WORD, the SON of GOD, "became flesh" and lived among us so that HE could die for our sins. This is the reason why we have Christmas and Easter. GOD paid the penalty of our sins through the Lord Jesus Christ.

"God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us." 1 Thessalonians 5:9,10

Do you remember Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death"? Well, the verse did not end there. The whole text says: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

How do you get this free gift of salvation?
Just acknowledge to God that you are a sinner in need of a Savior, honestly repent of your sins and turn to Jesus as the Lord of your life. Receive HIM by faith.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31)

This is what being "born again" is all about. We were born in sin and death, but through the Lord Jesus, we can be born again to have eternal life.

Would you like to experience that "spiritual rebirth" now? No matter where you are at this moment, now is the time of salvation. Be honest and open with GOD. Here is a sample prayer you can say to HIM:

Dear GOD, I confess that I am a sinner. I admit that I cannot do anything to save myself. Help me. I repent of my sins LORD. Thank you for sending your only SON JESUS to die for me. Thank you for your free gift of salvation. I wholeheartedly accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I give you full control of my life.

If you have honestly prayed the prayer above (or something similar to it), then...

Congratulations!!

You have just accepted the free gift of salvation. You are now a member of the family of God. You can drop us a note at the Correspondence Room if you have more questions about this newly found faith of yours.

If you are still not sure and undecided, and would like to know more, you can drop us a note or you can visit the website of Campus Crusade for Christ.

If you would like to have a free copy of a Bible software (King James Version), you can download one at Quickverse.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share with you

the GOOD NEWS.
