They must first plant seeds in their mind, that they can individually nourish and grow. The principles is this book are those seeds. If you nourish them and apply them to your own life you will grow stronger than you ever imagined. You will gain confidence in yourself and your abilities. You will be able to fight your fears, complexes and gain control of your life. You will be able to let go of your past failures, heartbreaks and begin working for a brighter future.

MY PURPOSE
My purpose in writing this book, is to share with you the principles I used to fight my battle against agoraphobia, my fears and my complexes. In applying these principles I won my battle and gained control of my life. My hope is to save you from the life that I have lived, poisoned by failure, frustration, heartbreak, discontent, resentment, and envy. As a pessimist, I not only saw the glass as being half empty, but the glass had finger-prints on it as well! Many nights I have sat in my room wollowing in selfpity; the loneliness so unbarable, I comtemplated suicide..........
THEN I FOUND THE SECRET!
Don't waist another minute of your prescious life in the confines of your prison, whatever your prison may be. You can start right now, today, in rebuilding a new life for yourelf. A life filled with love, happiness and peace of mind.
You are about to witness a miracle, your miracle. Read my words with an open mind, think about what I say, and believe that you, too, have the power to change you life.
To be perfectly honest with you, it really isn't such a secret at all. It's just a matter of knowing what you want, and believing that you can get it. And why shouldn't you get what you want out of life, aren't you just as good as anyone else? Don't you deserve to have a full, and happy life? So do it!
Open your mind and think about what you read and then believe that you will gain control of your life. When you apply these principles you will soon find that you will have the power to do anything that you desire to do!
REMEMBER: NOTHING SPLENDID HAS EVER BEEN ACHIEVED EXCEPT BY THOSE WHO DARED TO BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING INSIDE OF THEM WAS SUPERIOR TO CIRCUMSTANCE YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND YOUR CONSCIOUS MIND: Uses logic, deduction, and reason to reach it's conclusions and to make decisions.
YOUR CONSCIOUS MIND: Does not think or act on its own initative. It's primary purpose is to achieve the goals that have been given to it by your conscious mind.
One of the most important duties of your conscious mind is to tell your subconscious mind what you want and then to believe with all your heart that you will receive what you have asked for. Once you gain the ability to do this, absolutely nothing is impossible for you to achieve.
If you program your subconscious mind improperly with fear, worry, and anxiety, it will bring those fears into reality for you. Just as the Captain of a ship is its Master, so is your conscious mind the master of your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind accepts it's orders from your conscious mind, whether they are positive or negative, right or wrong, and carries them out for you without question.
Now, I told you that I was a pessimist and the thought of me just telling my sub- conscious mind what I wanted and then being able to get it was pretty hard for me to believe. But with an open mind I tried the following experient, which by the way, made me a believer
I was trying to think of the name of a radio D.J. that I was telling my sister about, but his name would not come to mind. "This," I thought, "Would be the perfect opporunity for me to check out the subconscious mind theory." I sat back, closed my eyes, and relaxed. Out loud......I told my subconscious mind, "I want to know the name of a radio D.J. from the late 50's, a kind of rebellious man, who was known for always saying what he wanted to say, and was always getting thrown into jail for saying it. He was responsible for free outdoor concerts in parks and he died a lonely alcoholic." In less than 30 seconds, just as if I had pushed the enter key on a computer, the name, 'ALLEN FREED' flashed in my minds eye.
You can make your subconscious mind the most valuable friend you will ever have. All you have to do is talk to it, just as you would talk to your friend. No matter what you think of yourself right now, you can change your entire outlook on life by literally changing your mind.
REMEMBER: YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK YOUR ARE! HOW TO SOLVE A PROBLEM USING YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
1.Relax. Your subconscious mind absorbs more when you are relaxed both mentally and physically.
2. Think about your problem. Feed your subconscious mind all the information you know about the problem.
3. Know what you want to accomplish.
4. Know and believe that your subconscious mind will give you an answer to your problem.
5. After you have done the first 4 steps forget about your problem, and let your subconscious mind go to work on finding an answer for it. The answer will come.

AUTO-SUGGESTION
AUTO-SUGGESTION: All thoughts and all self-administered stimuli which reach the subconscious mind through the five senses, and influeneces the subconscious mind with these thoughts.
Through repetition of this principle, you are voluntarily creating thought habits that can change your wishes into reality. You have the ability to have absolute control of your thoughts. You can either control them or they will control you.
Every man is what he is because of the dominating thoughts which he has programmed into his subconscious mind. When you give orders to your subconscious mind you will come to believe whatever you repeat to yourself whether it be true or not. If you are constantly telling your subconscious mind that you are this way or that way, then you will reflect that condition. You can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. Now, give your subconscious mind a positive thought it can go to work on, keep it going with the desire to succeed and believe will happen and you will get the results that you want.
REMEMBER: A PERSON DOES LITERALLY BECOME WHAT HE THINKS!

"LET IT GO!"
Your subconscious mind can carry you through the most hopeless adversities and give you peace of mind. I used to lose my inner battles by saying to myself, "I am such a waist, why am I here, what is my purpose?" I would dwell on my past and know that I was doomed to a life of misery. I had no hope of ever having anything or anyone to love me. I wrote the following poem at a pretty dark time in my life. It pretty much sums up my whole life, as it was: WHY?
My eyes are always crying And my heart is always sad And when I wake up in the morning I always feel so bad
My purse is always empty And my bills are way past due My clothes all look so shabby There is never nothing new
I have no one that I can talk to There is no one for me to hold I have no one to share my life with As I am growing old
In my room it gets so lonely That it's oh so hard to bare And if I should die tomorrow There is no one that would care
So I sit and I look out windows As I watch the world go by And wonder what I'm doing here And all the reasons why
Why my eyes are always cryng Why my heart is always sad Why I wake up in the morning And why I always feel so bad

So what did I do about it? I applied the principles I am sharing with you, to my own life. I learned to control my subconscious mind. Whenever I had a bad memory or a distructive thought enter my subconscious mind, I would tell myself, "LET IT GO!" Just as you turn a light switch from on to off it stops.
It's that simple. You, too, have the power to control your subconscious mind. To turn off the negative thoughts that enter into it. All you have to do is, "LET IT GO!"
REMEMBER: THE PAST IS GONE THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO CHANGE IT. LET IT GO!
POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE vs NEGATIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE
I cannot express enough, the importance of discarding your negative attitudes. They will literally destroy your chances of any happiness or peace of mind.
I know the distructive results that come from having a negative mental attitude for I lived 45 years of despair, accepting my fate and believing in my heart that I was a victum of circumstances. My negative mental attitude made me believe that I wasn't even lucky at being agoraphobic. A lucky agoraphobic could stay in their room; me, I had to work, go to the grocery, take buses.
I hated working and being around people, serving them when it was just a struggle for me to get to work. At the grocery, counting my change just to get eggs, bread, and milk, I would become so bitter when a person would pass me with their carts brimming full with meats, vegetables, and snacks. Just a reminder of my poverty.
At bus stops I would sit and envy all the lucky people, dressed in their pretty clothes, who passed by driving their new cars.
I declined invitations to Christmas parties and get togeathers, telling myself that I was scared of people, that I didn't like them. In reality it wasn't the people that I didn't like. It was me around the people. I didn't fit in, I didn't belong. It was so much easier to stay in my room.
I made my life what it was through my negative mental attitude. I told myself that I wasn't good enough; so, I believed it. I told myself that I didn't belong; so, I didn't. I told myself that I was scared to be around people and I was. You are what you think you think you are!
REMEMBER; AS LONG AS A MAN STANDS IN HIS OWN WAY, EVERYTHING WILL SEEM TO BE IN HIS WAY. DON'T SPEND YOUR DAYS STRINGING AND TUNING YOUR INSTRUMENT: START MAKING THE MUSIC
(+) AND (-)
Have you ever noticed a car battery? The (+) indicates the positive pole the (-) indicates the negative pole. This same principle holds true with attitudes as well. If you have a negative attitude you will attract negative results. If you have a positive attitude you will attract positive results. Good thoughts and good actions can never produce bad results, by the same token, bad thoughts and bad actions can never produce good results. Positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time. One or the other must dominate.
For the habit of applying and using positive thoughts, the out-put of your subconscious mind always equals its in-put. You can feed your subconscious mind with thoughts of fear and failure or happiness and success, the choice is yours; The results can make you or break you.
REMEMBER: YOU ARE THE MASTER OF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES; THAT THEY WILL NOT MASTER YOU! "IT'S NOT THE MOUNTAIN AHEAD OF YOU THAT WEARS YOU DOWN, BUT THE GRAIN OF SAND IN YOUR SHOE"
BE HAPPY!
Think back in your experiences to find the cause of your negative thinking. When you become aware of the cause you will be able to find your cure. You will form a positive mental attitude by "LETTING GO" your negative thoughts and concentating on positive thoughts. When the positives overcome the negatives you will be the winner of your inner battle and gain control of your own life.
HOW TO FORM POSITIVE THINKING HABITS
1. Never permit a negative thought to remain in your mind. Tell yourself "LET IT GO,' immediately replace it with a positive thought.
2. Always start your day out with positive thoughts. If you can't think of positive thoughts, count your blessings.
3. Keep busy, a busy person has no time for misery.
4. Keep your mind happy, it is far easier to keep a happy mind positive, than it is one filled with saddness.
REMEMBER: YOUR ACTIONS, YOUR FEELINGS, YOUR BEHAVIOR WILL BE CONSISTENT WITH THE IMAGE YOU HAVE OF YOURSELF. IN OTHER WORDS,YOU WILL ACT LIKE THE SORT OF PERSON YOU CONCEIVE YOURSELF TO BE. SO, "BE HAPPY!
TRY THIS:
Spend some time with a pessimist, study his type of thinking. He thinks in terms of "I CAN'T." Now spend time with an optimist, his thinking is in terms of, "I CAN." See the differance: Now, in who's company did you prefer to be with, the pessimist or the optimist?
FEARS
Most fears, phobias and inhibitions are complexes we established in our minds when we were children. They were psychological, not physical. To get rid of them, you must program your subconscious mind with positive ideas of courage. To change any condition you must concentrate on the condition you want, not the condition your attempting to overcome.
So if there is a certain thing in your life that you are afraid to do, then force yourself to do it until you've reached the point you are no longer afraid. The only thing that can really keep you from achieving is your own fear. The ability to break through those fears and produce new results is what really allows you to tap into real personal power.
REMEMBER: DO THE THING YOU FEAR TO DO AND YOU'LL GAIN THE POWER TO DO IT! 7 BASIC FEARS
There are seven basic fears. If you permit them to dominate your mind you invite failure in every conceivable form. Fear destroys your faculty of reason, your self-control. Fear clouds your memory and discourages persistance, will power and ambition. Fear encourges procrastination and kills love and friendship. It takes the charm out of your personality and robs you of your imagination, self-reliance, enthusiasm and initiative. Fear leads to uncertainity, loneliness, sleeplessness, and unhappiness.
REMEMBER: NOTHING IN LIFE IS TO BE FEARED. IT IS ONLY TO BE UNDERSTOOD.
1. FEAR OF POVERTY
Fear of poverty is the most destructive of all fears. Nothing brings man so much suffering and humility as poverty! Only those who have experienced poverty understand the full meaning of this, and to appreciate wealth is to have known poverty.
Poverty is attracted to those who expect poverty as wealth is attracted to those who expect wealth. If you are afraid of being poor, think only of wealth and abundance, for if you concentrate on poverty you will be poor, for you will attract poverty.
REMEMBER: POVERTY OF PURPOSE IS WORSE THAN POVERTY OF PURSE
2. FEAR OF CRITICISM
You can no more exercise your reason if you live in constant dread of criticism than you can enjoy life if you are in constant fear of death. Fear of criticism makes you self-conscious and nervous around other people. You lack charm and poise and your personality becomes weak. You develope an inferiority complex and miss out on opportunities because you lack confidence and ambition.
REMEMBER: CRITICISM CAN BE CONSTRUCTIVE. IF YOU FIND YOURSELF BEING CRITICIZED, ACCEPT IT GRACEFULLY,DECIDE IF IT'S JUSTIFIED AND ACT ACCORDINGLY.
3. FEAR OF OLD AGE
We fear old age by believing it will bring with it poverty and ill health. We fear we'll lose our freedom and independence, and inferiority completiative and imagination.
REMEMBER: GROWING OLD IS NO MORE THAN A BAD HABIT WHICH A BUSY PERSON HAS NO TIME FOR!
4. FEAR OF ILL HEALTH
When you let fears of ill health enter your mind you break down your resistance and become susceptible to any form of disease. You can literally think yourself into becoming ill, by constantly looking for symptoms of diseases. Insure radiant health by thinking in terms of health and happiness instead of illness and dispair. Stay busy, idleness will sap the energy from you. The realization that good health is within your reach must be brought into reality by letting go of you fears.
REMEMBER: GOOD HEALTH CAN BE YOURS WHEN YOU CONQUER YOUR FEARS AND GET RID OF ALL THE ILLNESS THEY CAN BRING!
5. FEAR OF DEATH
This is the cruelest of all the basic fears, the thought of eternal punishment destroys interest in life and makes happiness impossible. Life and death are parts of the same great adventure, do not fear to die and do not shrink from the joy of life. And again, stay busy. A busy person does not think about death.
REMEMBER: WHO EVER HAS RESIGNED HIMSELF TO FATE, WILL FIND THAT FATE ACCEPTS HIS RESIGNATION!
6. FEAR OF LOSS OF LOVE
The fear of loss of a love is the most painful of all fears. It does more damage to the body and mind than any other fear. If you believe yourself unfortunate because you have loved and lost, perish the thought. One who has loved truly can never lose entirely. Accept and enjoy it while it remains, butdo not spend time worrying about its departure. Worry will never bring it back. All love experiences are beneficial,except to the person who becomes resentful and cynical.
REMEMBER: MEASURE YOUR LIFE BY LOSS INSTEAD OF GAIN; NOT BY THE WINE DRUNK BUT THE WINE POURED, FOR LOVES STRENGTH STANDS IN LOVE'S SACRIFICE; AND WHO SUFFERS MOST HAS MOST TO GIVE!
7. FEAR OF FAILURE
If you fear failure because you believe you have no control over your fate you are distroying your chances for success. Failure comes to those who allow themselves to become failure conscious. The surest way not to fail is to determine to succeed. Every failure brings with it the equivalent advantage. No man is ever whipped until he quits in his own mind.
THINK: I HAVE HAD DREAMS AND I HAVE HAD NIGHTMARES, I OVERCAME MY NIGHTMARES BECAUSE OF MY DREAMS! POSITIVE

Is there a fear of something that is standing in your way? Find out about your fear. The more you know about something the more control you have over it. The more control you have the less anxiety you have. Spend your energys controlling it instead of letting it control you.
REMEMBER: FEAR STANDS FOR, 'FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL'. FACE YOUR FEAR! RUNNING FROM YOUR FEAR ONLY KEEPS IT ALIVE. WHEN YOU STOP RUNNING AND STARE IT DOWN, IT MY NOT BE AS SCARY AS YOU THOUGHT. WHAT IS WORRY?
Worry is a state of mind. A circle of inefficent thoughts whirling around a pivot of fears. Worry prevents us from doing the very thing which will provide the means to prevent us the worry.
Most of our worries are dwelling on things that might happen, "What if," thoughts. Worry, and speculation can only block our sence of reational thinking. There is no use worrying about things over which you have no control, and if you have control, you can do something about them instead of worry.
Don't make the mistake of letting the worry of tomorrow spoil the joy of today. "LET IT GO!"
REMEMBER: IT ISN'T THE LOAD THAT WEIGHTS US DOWN, IT'S THE WAY WE CARRY IT. WHAT ARE HABITS?
HABIT: A REPETITION OF AN ACT, THOUGHT, OR FEELING; A CONFIRMED MENTAL CONDITION ACQUIRRED BY REPETITION.
When we send a thought the same way often enough, we form that habit of thinking, we then slip into that particular thought pattern again, and again. Each time we form a negative thought habit we lose control of our subconscious mind, and eventually we can become a unhappy, frustrated,worried, sick individual.
My daughter invited me to attend a concert with her, reluctantly I told her I would go. For weeks before the concert, each time I would think about it I would tell myself that I was going to be so terrified around all those people. On the night of the concert, during the drive there I kept telling myself I was nervous. In line, there were so many people, I was so nervous that I began perspiring profusely. Just as the coliseum doors opened and the line started to move, I collapsed.
By the time the ambulance arrived my heart rate was 48, and I was totally dehydrated. Now the hospital told me that I had a heat-stroke, and at the time I believed that to be true. Looking back now, I can clearly see that is not what truely happened at all. I formed the thought habit of being so terrified of crowds so vividy in my subconscious mind that I actually worked myself into the collapse.
If you are controlled by certain habits which you would like to overcome, instead of thinking of them as something you can't control know that you have the power to overcome any unpleasant habit, simply by changing your thought habits.
Have you ever moved into a new house and the light switch in a room of your new house was on a differat wall as was in the same room of the old house? For days when you would go to flip the switch and you would reach for it on the wall from your old house. You had to form a thought habit that the switch was on another wall. After a few days you automatically went to the right wall.
A habit can be changed simply by converting it into a good one by repetition and perseverance.
REMEMBER: WE ACCEPT OUR FATE BECAUSE WE FORM THOUGHT HABITS AS BEING SO ROUTINE THAT WE CAN NOT BREAK THEM. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE THEM SIMPLY BY, "LETTING THEM GO! RELAX!
RELAX! Your subconscious mind absorbs information better when your body is relaxed. Anxiety tightens you up. When you relax your muscles, some of your nervous energy flows out through your toes and fingers. That explains how the Ojui Board works! Well, it does to me anyway.
Negative thinking causes insomnia. When you retire with a worried mind or have doubt that you will be able to sleep you are programming your subconscious mind not to sleep, chances are you won't. But if you retire with a positive attitude, telling your subconscious mind that you are relaxed and want to sleep you will fall asleep in no time.
REMEMBER: LOTS OF ANXIETY COMES FROM ANTICIPATING THE FUTURE OR BROODING OVER THE PAST, BUT YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE PAST AND YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE FUTURE UNTIL IT GETS HERE, SO FOCUS ON THE PRESENT, AND RELAX!
YOUR MEMORY
Your subconscious mind has stored everything you have ever seen, read or heard. There is no such thing as a bad memory. You have the power to recall anything just by haveing the awareness of haveing a good memory. Like the example I gave earlier of 'ALLEN FREED,' the DJ. Instead of saying, "I can't remember," or, "I have a bad memory," I feed my subconscious mind with the information I did have about him, I believed that the answer would come, and the answer came, in less than 30 seconds. It may not always come that fast, but don't get discourged, it will come.
I was always called a scatter brain, or a dizzy blonde, and in a sence I was. I blamed it on forgetfullness, but all forgetfullness is, is a disorganized mind. Has anyone ever said to you, "A penny for your thoughts," and you could not come up with an answer? Your mind was racing around on 100 differant thoughts, you could not exactly pin point one complete thought. That is why it is so important to "LET GO" of our memories of past hardships and failures.
One of the reasons why it is so hard to maintain positive thoughts is that our memories of the past and worries of the future are neutralizing the positive thoughts. You must "LET GO" of the negatives and replace them with a positive and you will be able to imporve your memory 100%.
REMEMBER: NEVER SAY, "I HAVE A BAD MEMORY." INSTEAD SAY, "I HAVE A GOOD MEMORY." AND YOU WILL KNOW THAT YOU DO! A MAGNETIC PERSONALITY
A person haveing a magnetic personality possesses good loving qualities, the magnetism that one projects to others comes from the heart. A magnetic personality is not something that you can see, but something you feel.
Your subconscious mind rules your whole personality, your characer, your deepest thoughts, your secret desires. Your total personality depends upon how you program your subconscious mind. If you feed it negative thoughts of bitterness and hate that is exactly the kind of personality you will project to others. When you feed it with positive thoughts of love and kindness you will gain a magnetic personality, and like a magnet you will attract others to you.
REMEMBER: WE ATTRACT HEARTS BY THE QUALITIES WE DISPLAY, WE KEEP THEM BY THE QUALITIES WE POSSESS. QUALITIES OF A MAGNETIC PERSONALTY
LOVE: Love is a passionate desire of two or more people to produce conditions under which each can express his real self; to produce an intellectual soil and an emotional climate in which each can flourish.
If you think about hate, that is exactly what you will get, hate, for that is what you will project in others. If you think about love, you will be loved, for you will project love to others.
It takes courage to love because love involves the risk of being hurt or disappointed. To love is to suffer with those we love, to feel their failures, their mistakes and their pain. To love is to feel the anquish of the poor and the dispossessed and to find remedies for their conditions. Love cannot be wasted. It makes no difference where it is bestowed, it always brings in big returns. The more you give, the more you possess.
REMEMBER: THERE IS NOTHING THAT MAKES MEN RICH AND STRONG BUT THAT WHICH THEY CARRY INSIDE OF THEM. TRUE WEALTH IS OF THE HEART. LOVE
There is no difficulty that love will not conquer;
No door that enough love will not open;
No gulf that enough love will not bridge;
No will that enough love will not throw down;
No sin that enough love will not redeem.....
It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble, how hopeless the outlook, how muddled the tangle, how great the mistake - a sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.....
If only could love enough you would be the happiest and most powerful being in the word.

The one who gives the most, gets the most. If you want to get, then you must first give of yourself. It is absolutely impossible to give of yourself to someone else and get nothing in return.
All receiving is preceded by giving. If we are not getting enough in life, it is because we are not giving enough. No man can become rich himself unless he enriches others in so doing. A GOOD CONVERSATIONALIST: A good conversationalist has programmed his subconscious mind that he is a good conversationalist, with a good vocabulary. He picks his subject matter according to the tastes of those listening. He doesn't hog the conversation, but is ready to share his thoughts.
Learn to be a good conversationalist by being a good listener. Never gossip, critisize, or argue, that only leads to negativity. Always speak in a positive tone of voice, this conveys confidence and makes you a good conversationalist. src="https://members.tripod.com/~pink_fufu/flowers/rose_pinklil.gif"> KINDNESS: Have you ever experienced someones unexpected kindness? Can you remember how special it made you feel? You can do the same for someone else. It only takes a little imagination, and time and no trouble, it's fun. 1. Always have a positive mental attitude

4. Always give 110%. Always do more then is expected of you, when you give more you get more.
5. Be dependable. Don't be tardy or miss any work then is absolutely necessary, and always be honest and truthful.
6. Relax. Don't get upset with yourself if you can't do everything at once. Think of your tasks as being like an hour glass. Only one grain of sand at a time can pass through the small channel of the hour glass. You too can only do one thing at a time. Consentrate on doing your best on one job at a time. When you finish one job, then you can move on to the next.
7. Accept the blame when you are wrong, and then do your best to rectify the problem.
8. Don't carry your personal troubles to work with you.
