My husband of 58 years was an unforgettable man to many people for many reasons. He was one of those rare individuals who knew that a man's worth was a total of that small "dash" separating one's date of birth from one's date of death. His "dash" included people of all nationalities, races, religions, financial worth, occupation and sex. Materialism had no place in his life!! Happiness to him was family unity, children of all ages, helping those in need no matter what the circumstance, animals, musical shows, exercise, sports, growing flowers and veggies from seeds, food and, of course, his profession as a low vision Optician, enabling him to improve failing eyesight for those afflicted. In short, he was a man with very simple needs who was respected by all who had the good fortune to know him.

It's lonesome here without you, I miss you so each day. My life hasn't been the same since you went away. When days are sad and lonely, and everything goes wrong, I always hear you whisper, "cheer up and carry on." Each time I look at pictures on this dedicated site, I see your smile and hear you say, "enjoy your game, have a good time, be careful .... you'll fall, you'll hit your head." I see those cards signed "always loving you" and know I am left with a lifetime of memories.
