This is the third mint building in Phiadelphia. Opened in the early 1900's it was the largest and most secure building built in the city. Located at 17th and Spring Garden Streets, it is now the home of Community College of Philadelphia(where I work). A Roman facade complete with Ionic columns is the most noticeable external architectural feature of this building. The building contains a rotunda with a massive chandelier.
