Writes Poet X of PDX: "It seems like the new century has brought on an increase in things to buy to get rid of other things. This realization was made when I saw a commercial for a 'Tele-Zapper,' which helps cut down on unwanted solicitation calls. 'Block unwanted e-mail' is a popular recent pitch. It seems like a sort of de-evolution (from which the old rock group Devo got its name). Aha — an oxymoron: de-evolution in progress!"
