"Talk about your ultimate earworms! I can hear that TV commercial jukeboxmonkey wrote about.

"You've probably gotten a correction on this already, but that first song mentioned wouldn't be 'Baby Love' (by the Supremes, definitely not a one-hit wonder), but rather 'My Baby Loves Lovin' ' by White Plains. 

"I think I have the specific album that jukeboxmonkey refers to. It's part of the Time-Life Music 'Sounds of the Seventies' series. 

"The liner notes in these albums are fascinating for what you can learn about the real story behind some of these one-hit wonders. For example, here's what I learned about the band White Plains:

"'Two English studio-concoction groups, White Plains and First Class, had the same lead singer, hired gun Tony Burrows. The team of Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway wrote and produced "My Baby Loves Lovin' " for White Plains. Four years later, John Carter did the same with "Beach Baby," a Beach Boys-like production released under the name First Class.

"'In addition to White Plains and First Class, Burrows sang lead in such similar "groups" as Edison Lighthouse ["Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)"], the Brotherhood of Man ["United We Stand"] and the Pipkins ["Gimme Dat Ding"].'
