Darkness

A spotlight on center stage, the Speaker reads "What happens to a dream deferred?" by Langston Hughes. On the final word, "explode," lights up on the minimally-dressed stage. At the (audience's) left is an enlarged photo of a red wheel-barrow. At the right is a suggested work area: desk, "out to lunch" sign. Center stage, hanging out of the way of walking, is an enlarged photo of a stained glass window.
