Stickman is a band that was orriginally formulated five years ago with the same three founding members which stand now. Over the last few years the band has changed quite drastically from a heavy-grunge band to a re-formed pop-punk band. This is how it all worked out.
In the summer of 1996(?) Wes Carnegie and Mike Fullerton joined up with Luc Seguin for the first time to form a band. At this point they didn't have a name and all they could play was old Nirvana covers, (very poorly might I add). A few months passed and the band progressively got better at making on-time noise. A few more months pased and they began to write their own songs and lyrics, and to cap it off they got themselves a name: Stain.
Thus begins the escapades of a crappy band named Stain. Although Stain had a complete repetoire of songs, and they could cover any; Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden or Green Day tunes, the band never got any shows. Finally, after about two years of jamming with nothing to show for it, Mike and Wes were both offered parts in another band. Since Stain proved to be quite useless at this point, Mike and Wes both quicly took the gig.
With Stain broken up, a new band was formed. With Mike, Wes, another guy named Roger and two others I don't know. This band was much like Stain in that it had a wide variety of styles. Maybe too wide. Thus, Liquid Courage was born,...later renamed Plutonium Baby. The boys played everything from Radiohead, to Tool to traditional Nirvana faves. Eventually, much like Stain, the band began to crash and burn. This brought an end to Plutonium Baby.
Monts after the breakup, Wes, Mike and Luc were once again re-united. This time however the band took to a new form of music. The days of slow glam-rock were abandonned for a new ska-punk-pop feel. This was the birth of Stickman, whose local popularity keeps on growing. Might I add that all three members are sexy bitches.
