The school year is upon us. Your curriculum is scattered all over your living room floor,
you feel as if the weight of the world is on your shoulders and there is no possible way for you
to gather the materials needed to begin the year. Once again you ask yourself what you have gotten
yourself into.
But then you remember!!!! All those smiling faces that greet you every morning, the laughter that fills
the air, and the hugs you receive through out the day.
Yes this is such a rewarding career! And yes this can also be a very stressful career! But you are one
step ahead this year right? HA! If you are anything like me the beginning of the school year means that
your house gets neglected, your children consider institutionalizing you, the dog is scared of you, and you
look like you haven't slept in a year!
Well this year I thought I would try and take a little stress off you and share with you the ideas that I have
been using in my classroom. This is the beginning of the year. What you do in the first month sets the pace of
what your school year will be like. Let's try and make it a fun filled and adventurous one!
