Card Party to benefit
family of Rev. Ihor Stets

   On Sunday, February 7, 1999 the Niagara Frontier Council League of Ukrainian Catholics decided to sponsor a Collection and Card Party to benefit family of Rev. Ihor Stets (wife and two young children: Roxolana, 12 and Taras 10). Father Ihor was pastor of Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Johnson City, New York.
    A Collection in each church of Buffalo Deanery and a Card Party in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall after the 12:00 Liturgy took place. LUC representatives were at all Churches on Sunday morning for those who wanted to donate to help family of late father Ihor.
    The card party and monetary donations were hugely successful. $7850 was raised for his wife Marusia and their young children.
    The Council scheduled also a wine & cheese reception for the April 19th meeting to offer condolences and present their check to Mrs. Stets.
    The reception took place in Lackawanna Church Hall. Family of late Father Ihor was present.
