the colors of autumn are the treat to behold
as the warm summer passes 
a still of the air takes hold
with a cool breeze and falling leaves
i treasure the season here and each day that unfolds

looking forward to the next stage
as i recall the days that have past
for inside each moment may be
a thought of a fine day
maybe it has come or the next will be that way
