Edgefest was great, although the line ups were a pain and the huge mosh pit was
frightening!!! But that's ok, coz it's all
about the music and that was awesome. I finally made it into the park at around 2:30,
missing most of Bif's performance
and missing the autograph session with Treble Charger =(. Don't ask why treble charger
was there, but they were; and
Greig Nori from the band was selling t-shirts in vendor village. Anyways, the day went
well except for when we lost my
friend in the mosh pit during Sloan's performance. Fortunately we found her in time to see
the rest of the bands. There
was a rumour going around that David's brother was there, but I never saw him so I don't
know if it's true. During the Foo
Fighters' performance, Dave Grohl asked Paul Wilcox to help him nail(crucify) some guy
named "Dan the Man" to a piece
of wood.(don't ask!) Green Day was next and they were awesome, but I was still
anxious for the one and only Moist to
perform. Finally, Moist came and water bottles were flying through the air towards the
stage. It was crazy! Moist
performed in their usual way, with Mark's funny facial expressions, Jeff's wicked bass
playing and backing vocals, Paul's
awesome drumming, Kevin's rocking keyboards and awesome trumpet playing and
David's beautiful voice and antics.
David, as usual did his adorable funny dances, stood in funny positions towards Mark,
and poured water on the crowd in
his always perfect way. It was really unusual that he didn't beat up on Jeff or knock
down Kevin's keyboard. David
complimented Paul's drumming and made him stand up for applause. He also claimed
that Moist had been off for 5
months and that he had been working out. Then he made many funny flexing poses. I
took lot's of pictures, but I was
pretty far. I was in between the winners deck and the techies, and I had a clear and
perfect view. Overall, Moist's
performance was amazing!!! All the Moist fans were singing along and having a blast. I
loved the rock version of "Jesus
Was My Girl". I wish they could've played longer, but there'll be many more Moist
concerts to go to in the future. MOIST
ROCKS!!!
