Ok, we
(me, andrea, ashley, and colleen, the one andi couldn't remember=))
drove up there on a school bus that was rented by this guy at andrea's
school, and andrea had talked to him ahead of time, and he did have
four spots for us free on the bus. it cost like $20 because he had to
pay for the rental fees. so anyways, we met at Wal-Mart on the
hamilton mountain...we ended up leaving at about 9:00..when we were
like, approaching the park in the bus, we kept on seeing signs for
edgefest and we were all like, screaming and cheering. btw, we
stopped on the way for food and tinkle, and i had my body glitter so we
put it all over ourselves then. it was neato. so we got there around
11:30 or so. and we got out of the bus and walked towards the end of
the line to get in (it was mighty long by this time) but then we saw this
little area with gates and stuff and people around and we figured that
it was like the backstage area or somethin. then we saw webmistress!
and she always recognizes me and andrea, so we stood and talked to
her for awhile. she was with a friend. and we asked her what this ara
was and she said VIP area for media and stuff. and we asked her if
she could get us backstage (because she was waiting for her pass) and
she said i don't think so, sorry. so we then went and talked to the
security guards at the fence, and you could like, see through the fence
to the backstage area, and we askes them if they liked Moist (we
asked everyone all day, every security guard we saw) and me and
andrea have wicked like, bribing skills when it comes to getting
backstage, so we like, bribed and bribed the guy, but he was like, i'd
love to let you in, but i totally can't. and we were like, aww, thanks
anyways. then we talked to these guys from id magazine. and they
were getting backstage to photgraph. and we talked to them for like,
forever. and they were sooo nice, and they gave us smokes and they
said they sorta liked Moist, and then one of the guys had a tape
recorder 4 interviews, so they let us record stuff for Moist on it, and
they totally promised they would play it for them. it was neato! so then
we FINALLY went and got in line, waited for about 2 and a half hours
i guess. met soooo many people, talked to all these adults who were
like, howling at us because we were decorating ourselves with MOIST
all over=) so then, we were like, gonna hide our cameras in ashley and
colleen's bras, but then we got up to just before they search you and
we asked this guy of we could bring cameras in and he said ya,
smallish ones. and we were like, WOO HOO! and when we asked, he
said he only liked Gasoline. so then they searched our bags and then
we were in!! so we got in, and walked around at booths and stuff..got an
Edgefest
program, read the part about Moist, howled. so we then went to the
sidestage (the main wasn't open yet) and on the way we went to like,
the chart tent and stuff. and so we stood at the side of the mosh pit for
a bit. went in, and then went out. then we stood at the side again where
there was a fence thing leading to another backstage area, and
security guards. then we saw DEJA and BILL WELYCHKA!! hehe.
so we called Deja over and i told him about how my mom totally
thought he should win the correspondent contest. we got a pic with him
and Bill, Deja said Moist were awesome when we asked him. I asked
Bill when Much were broadcasting, and i don't really remember what
he said. anyways, we got their sigs. then we met the singer from
Sandbox (big whoop eh?) and we decorated him arm with my body
glitter and it said Moist and a Canada flag and all our names=) we
went back in the pit for Rusty. they were pretty good. then we went
and walked around some more. hmm, what else. TONS! but i gotta
remember what happened next. um. shit! oh yeah! we went and tried
to find a place (one of the vendor's tents) to keep our backpacks,
because we didn't want to carry them in the sucking mosh pit...so we
found thesee really nice people, and they kept them for us. then we
went and saw Sloan, they were really good. but then we got separated
from Colleen in the pit...we walked around without her for about 1
hour and a half. then we found her at the tent where our bags were,
and she had met this guy... he was nice, so we went back in the pit, for
hmm, i think Green Day, got some pics. OH YEAH! I forgot to say
right before we lost Colleen, we met up with Panny and Andi! they
were all excited it was so cute=) panny, love your hair=) ok, so after
Green Day, we went RIGHT, I mean fuckin right in front of a security
guard at the front of the pit, at the front of the mosh pit, when they
were all setting up for Moist. we met all these girls who like, wanted
my shirt. I met Jaded finally, and she was like, OH! You're MoistLvr?
Great to meet you finally! hehe. so when Moist came on, they were
walking in and i found a guy to put m on his shoulders, and then I
screamed my fuckin head off at Mark and then David, but only Mark
saw me, and he nodded his head towards me before they started! they
were fuckin awesome, but panny, you guessed right, a Moist concert
mosh pit is less harsh and more intimate with them for longer. i stayed
at the front of the mosh pit, RIGHT there between david and mark for
almost the whole time, but then i couldn't take it anymore, getting
kicked in the head and landed on, so i went crowd surfing until the
security guard pulled me out, so i walked along the walkway right in
front of the stage to the side of the stage, and went right back in!! i
stayed for the rest, and went crowd surfing once more. it was the
fuckin bomb!!! umm, so after moisr (it seemed like only half an hour) I
was walking out and I saw Tequila Drinker!!! We finally met and we
talked a bit, but then we both had to go=( too bad i didn't see kat or
Rev or anyone else=(=( I was looking for you too Kat, the whole time!
my voice is now royally fucked, and i got the worst sunburn, and
everyone was scratching at it in the pit, and i have a couple other thing
i have to tell you guys. umn, one is after we met Bill Welychka, we
saw the guy who interviewed David on NightLife! Remember?
CFMT? he had a mike and everything. so we talked to him and asked
him if he was gonna be interviewing Moist and he said ya, a little
later, and he said it will be broadcasted on tuesday, july 7, at
11:27pm!!!! on CFMT. another big thing is you had to buy tickets for
food, and when andrea went to give this guy her tickets for her fries
one time, he said don't worry about it, and gave us a whole other
handful of tickets so we like, ate and drank free all day!!! and when
the vendor people left, he let us keep our bags where the food
people's were! tee hee. also, there was a girl walking around
TOTALLY topless..eww=P it was kinda gross. at the end, we walked
back to the bus and i was like, delirious, and i bought a fake edgefest
shirt from one of those people who makes them you know, homemade
and i made a bargain with him to buy it for 10 bucks instead of what he
was asking, $15. so i think that's pretty much it, i am totally sore still,
but it was all worth it! i can't believe it's over now!
