Q) What is your favorite Moist song?
A) This changes for all of us every night. some times a certain song may seem totally lifeless to us, then suddenly, in the middle of a tour, it just comes alive, and it feels like it did when we first wrote it. so our favorite songs are constantly changing.

Q) Are there Tabs or Piano music available?
A) There are places on the www where you can find that. if you prefer hard copy there will be a song book for creature coming out this fall.

Q) Why does Jeff answer some e-mail but not others?
A) The moist account gets a lot of mail and jeff tries to answer as much of it as he can while still having a life. the hint is if you write a short email with a well defined question that he has an answer for, you will get an answer back (as long as it is a good question and not too personal). if you write a long rambling letter that has one question in the middle of it, jeff will get confused and move on to the next letter without replying. every letter does get read though and just because he doesn't respond doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy your letters. and in case you were wondering, other band members also read the letters, but they first go to Jeff's computer which is why he is usually the one to respond.

Q) What advice do you have for young bands getting started?
A) 1. find people you really like, who are as committed as you are, to play with. if anyone in your band isn't willing to give up everything to do this, let them know that you think it may be more appropriate if they found themselves a weekend cover band (and there is nothing wrong with that) and you found someone else who is as committed as you
2. don't take no for an answer. don't be afraid to try to get something (i.e. an opening spot, a canadian tour, a video made) just because it seems impossible. be stubborn, make lots of good friends, make people believe that what you are doing is worth something.
3. ask yourself if you really want to bother. it is a hard road, and you may have to resort to lying to the government, collecting welfare, sleeping in vans, perpetual poverty, and all you may get in the end is the same. there is very little fame and fortune for canadian bands. you have to do it because you love it.
4. don't screw anybody, don't hurt anyone, don't steal anything, be honest. karma is the single most important element in a bands success. (but, if you need to stretch the truth with the government a little just know that if you make it big there will be a lot of gst money going to them because of you)

Q) What does Nauselbaum mean?
A) That is something we will never answer. so don't worry about it.

Q) How did the band get started?
A) Moist began in the fall of 1992, when we all met at Kevin's birthday party. We had known each other before that, but had never played together. So we started writing songs, and playing shows, and so on.

Q) I heard there was another album out before Silver?
A) Well, there was tape that we released independently before we decided to make a CD. The tape had nine songs on it, and six of them are on Silver. The other ones, See Touch Feel, Kid Conductor, and Sweet Electric Child, are available as b-sides on some of our UK singles. Check the discography to see which is where. These songs are also available for down loading from this web site. As for the tape itself, there were less than a thousand made, and it is long out of print. Sorry.

A) The band formed in 1992 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, although some members of the band are originally from Kingston and Toronto. They currently reside in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Q)I heard that Moist was on Beavis and Butthead. Tell me more!
A) Moist's video for Push did appear on Beavis and Butthead. You can find it played in the episode where the two of them decide to adopt a dog from the animal shelter. As for their opinion of the video, it was criticized in many ways from David Ushers voice, to Mark Makowy's style of guitar playing, as well as Usher's mannerisms towards Makowy. If you ever have a chance, ask Paul to do his Beavis impression. It's dead on.

A) The woman featured in Silver is Yvette, singer of the Vancouver band Mollies Revenge, who are very good friends of Moist. She also is featured in the Freaky Be Beautiful video.

Q) Who comes up with the ideas for the videos?
A) Every video is different. The concepts for the first bunch of videos came from the band, and were then worked on with a director to figure out how they could be done. Others, such as the Resurrection video and the Tangerine video, came from ideas suggested by the directors that seemed to suit the mood of the song. These ideas are then worked on with the band until the concept seems solid.

Q) I heard that several of the members of Moist have a history in film...is this true?
A) Yes. Both Jeff Pearce and Mark Makowy studied film at Queens University, and Paul Wilcox was once in a short film called the Graveller.

The second version has a darker blue logo and a reverse image on the CD. Creature has only one variation so far. Some backgrounds on the clear CD edge are blue and some are orange.
