The movie was filmed in 82-83. It's set in Tulsa, 1966, and retells S.E. Hinton's classic novel of the rivalries of the socs and the greasers. The socs are the rich kids with the money, the cars, and all the breaks. The greasers are the kids from the other side of town, who have nothing to depend on but their friends and their dream of the day when they will finally belong.
