www.drweil.com ================================================================== For poly-unsaturated oil, use sunflower, safflower, corn, or sesame oil. The only problem with these is that they are chemically unstable and will change if heated too hot.
Saturated, or animal fat, may cause heart disease. Use as little as possible.
Partially hydrogenated oils are bad.
The best oil to use is Olive Oil. It should be EXTRA VIRGIN, green to greenish yellow in color, and have a fruity aroma and flavor. Keep it in the fridge.
For a good neutral oil, use Canola oil. Get it from a Health Food Store.
Don't use artificial sweeteners, or artificial colors. They are biological hazards.
Eat Brocolli. It has sulphoraphain, which gives protection against cancer.
Salmon or sardines are good sources of Omega-3 fatty acids.
If you don't like fish, use Flax Seed. Grind it and use 1 tablespoon per day.
You should use 3-6 grams/day of Vitamin C.
Soy products(beans) have isoflavones, which fight breast and prostate cancer. Garlic is another good cancer fighter.
Japanese green tea is great. It fights cholesterol and cancer.
Try to use organic products. Some commercial products that are dangerous because of the chemicals used on them are: strawberries, peaches, spinach, U.S. cherries, apricots, Mexican cantelopes, celery, apples, grapes, bell peppers, green beans, cucumbers, and wheat.
Stay away from electromagnetic pollution such as electric blankets, heating pads, electric clocks, electric radios, blow dryers, etc.
Eat more fish, flax seed, vegetables, and fruit.
Take 400-800 IU of Vitamin E. Use the kind that is D-alpha, not DL-alpha. Take 200 micro-units of Selenium.
Get a good nights sleep and rest. If you can't get to sleep, try Valerian.
Ginger is an anti-inflammatory that is good for healing and digestion. Use crystalized ginger as a tea. It may take 2-3 months to work.
A good breathing exercise is the YOGA breathing technique:

    The steps are:
  1. Hold your tongue above your front teeth.
  2. Breath out noisily through your mouth, as if blowing dust off something.
  3. Inhale through your nose and slowly count to 4.
  4. Hold your breath for a slow 7 count.
  5. exhale and slowly count to 8.
  6. Repeat 4 times a day.
The above breathing technique will help lower high blood pressure.
If you have allergies, or hay fever, try Stinging Nettle. It works better than anti-histamines. Milk protein irritates allergies.
Good sources of calcium are sesame seeds, dark green vegetables, sardines packed in water, and calcium citrate.
Eliminate milk and milk products to alleviate sinus problems. It may take up to 2 months to help.
Swimming is good for arthritis.
If you have Adult Diabetes, exercize!
For Hepatitis C, use Milk Thistle, or Chinese Shazandra.
For Carpal Tunnel, take lots of Vitamin B6...100 mg twice a day for 1-2 months.
Use lots of whole grain products.
When you exercize, make sure you drink plenty of water to replace what you lose. You should drink at 8 glasses a day!
