In spite of the fact that the show went on for almost four hours, the recently-concluded Binibining Pilipinas '99 did not come out boring at all. The program's theme was ballroom dancing and the 29 candidates opened the show with a rousing number where they swayed to an upbeat version of "I Could Have Danced All Night" from "My Fair Lady."

The other production numbers were equally well-staged: one had last year's Binibini title-holders dancing with Michael Flores, KC Montero and Dingdong Dantes, while the other had Mon David crooning to the candidates.
