This time around, Turok 2 will focus more on action and exploration than on jumping. You will also have to complete mission objectives that seem as fun and tough to complete as Goldeneye's. For a non-linear feeling, you can go back to other levels (actually, you have to) and collect certain items, or access an area you couldn't before.

The game features over 40 different creatures with the male/female/child/adult looks for each one. Upping the replay value is the 4-player multiplayer mode. You can select from different creatures with different levels of health, speed, strength, range, etc. The Rumble Pak is said to be used in new ways, too. You can actually feel the footsteps of a huge "thing" coming at you, or feel the tremble of a loud roar, along with the usual explosions and stuff.

Turok 2 will be 2 times bigger than Turok 1, and on top of that, Acclaim is using compression techonology to fit even more into that cart! This promises to be much, much bigger than the already huge levels in Turok 1.

In conclusion, this game is on merits with the likes of Zelda 64 as the most anticipated game of '98 and possibly ever. The graphics will set new standards for any genre, the gameplay will set new standards for 1st person shooters, everything about this game will set a new high watermark for many games to come. Watch yourself, Perfect Dark, Turok 2 is on your tracks.
