Coyote Calamity

Interviewer: Tell us about your weekend Billy.
Billy: I never have a dull moment in my life. Thought I would take it easy and go up to Lake Silverwood for a picnic. It was just me and my dog Crystal. Nice day and hardly anyone around. We had the trails to ourselves.

Billy: After walking for a while we decided to rest. I heard a strange noise, so I looked and standing a few yards from us was a coyote. I said "Uh Crystal, I think we should get going!" We started walking and it followed.

Billy: I happened to look back and the coyote stopped and howled. I thought nothing of it until I heard several coyotes answer it! Then I knew we had a real problem. I didn’t wanna have to fight off a pack of coyotes! Fortunately we weren't too far from my car. Just as that pack of coyotes was approaching us, we jumped into the car and got outta there!

Interviewer: Well I’m glad everything’s okay now.
Billy: Oh, it’s not over yet! Those coyotes followed me home and have made themselves comfortable in my yard. Now the city is on my case saying that I'm not allowed to keep wild animals and need to get rid of them. But I'm not gonna be the one to tell a pack of coyotes they can't stay! I tried that once with a herd of turtles who took up residence in my fountain...they snuck into my house one night, bit my nose and chewed up my socks in retaliation! Who knows what mischief coyotes might concoct!
