The Y2K Computer Bug

You've heard about the bug that will break the nation, and now you can

find out how to fix the problem that may take the U.S. into another

depression. Change the date. Its that simple. Change the internal clock on

everything that has a calendar in it, to the date you bought your computer.

Thus, you computer, your software will still work. This also goes for TVs,

VCRs, Camcorders, and other electronic equiptment. However, don't

change the date too early, because it could also be a problem. For example,

if you bought your computer in 1987, updated everythin in 1994, and

installed Windows95 in 1995, do NOT set your computer to 1987. Set it

to 1995, as that was your last major update. In you have Windows 98, set

the date to 1998. Get the idea?
