CHAIN SAW SAFETY AND KICKBACK CONTROL

<
1.75 OUNCES COMPLETE WITH HARDWARE

The primary purpose of this website is to notify all chain saw users, trade professionals and consumers alike, of a patented free swinging pivotable anti-kickback gaff attachment for chain saws.

Rotational kickback is a reaction force that causes the bar to fling up and back in an uncontrolled arc. Kickback is the leading cause of chain saw accidents that result in severe or fatal injury.

Kinetic Stump Cutter, Inc. has developed a 1.75 ounce gaffing device that stops kickback before it can happen. The steel gaff can be installed on any straight type guide bar without interference of normal cutting operations. As the chain saw is rotated while cutting, the gaff engages the wood as the operator pulls up on the chain saw's throttle handle. The occurrence of kickback simply cannot happen because any upward motion would cause the gaff to penetrate deeper into the wood.

An additional benefit of this safety device is that it encourages the operator to use the chain saw properly by cutting wood as close to the engine as possible instead of using the tip of the bar.

The anti-kickback safety attachment can also keep the operator from becoming fatigued during cutting operations because the safety device gives the operator great leverage and lessens the workload. (the gaff engaging the wood becomes a fulcrum point for leverage).

The U.S. Patent # is 5,826,343. Thank you for your interest in chain saw safety.
