Ever since the tower of Babylon, where God is on record as confounding the speach of the builders, so that they no longer spoke the same language, we see that nations cannot get along with one another. They just can't seem to agree on anything.
It seems that one nation wants something that is against the best interests of another nation. What is one nation's economic advantage is another nation's economic impoverishment. There just doesn't seem to be any win-win in world politics
But God has also made it clear, on the day of Pentecost, that he can help to unite people of all different languages. For on the day of Pentecost, through the disciples, Jesus showed that he could speak in many tongues. Jesus showed a better way than getting everyone to speak the same tongue!
