The World According to Onyx
Hello, my name is Onyx. I'm half Persian and I have gorgeous long black hair. Some vets like to say that I'm a "Domestic Long Hair" but my mom won't allow me to sound so generic! She and my dad know that I am royalty and should be treated and referred to as such. I don't say much, but when I do, I use a very dainty voice. For this, Mom and Dad call me "Peeper".
My adopted brother Jake is a yellow lab. Now, I know that dogs aren't as smart as cats (of course), but I didn't know they were so HYPER! Jake is always bouncing off of some wall or trying to make friends with me. He bugs me, so I slap his face, hiss, and leave.
My mom and dad do special things for me. Every morning, my dad makes sure I have fresh food and water - he says I deserve nothing but the freshest cool water - and then he makes a trail of treats to my bowl. They let me have my own place on the counter so that my brother doesn't eat my food. I am the only one allowed on the furniture, and that makes Jake mad (hee-hee). My mom lets me play on the computer with her, but sometimes I would much rather just lay on the keyboard where she can see me best.
Below are some family members in St. Louis. Oreo is my grandma and grandpa's dog and Marble is my sister. Our newest is Lexy whom I never met, but I hear she's black like me.

lives with my mom's mom, dad, and brother. She used to chase me all the time when I lived at her house. I didn't like that at all and she got a few face slaps of her own.

Our family has a new addition! Her name is Lexy and she is a black lab puppy! She also belongs to my uncle Jeff. I'll put a picture of her when we get one.
