Welcome to the Sociology 132 Home Page!

 This is an introductory sociology course designed to make students more aware of the personal decisions they make in life and of the cultural influences affecting their decisions relating to family situations. Areas of discussion include definitions of marriage and the family, the historical making of family diversity, work/family balance, the social construction of intimacy, parenting, divorce and remarriage, family violence and family policy.
