Documented through his father's Rev War Pension records, The History of Champaign County Ohio, various Vital Records of Illinois, Census Records and his death records, Henry Gideon seems to have left a very good paper trail.
It was recently brought to our attention however that there is another family which has documented a Henry Gideon with a completely different line as the son of Peter Gideon. This is being researched at this time, but I personally have no reason to question, based on the documentation I've found that THIS Henry is the son of Peter Gideon of Loudoun Co Va. For now, I am posting the group sheet. I'll be extracting the information from my documentation (some, such as census records, etc, are already on this site under the specific states in which it occurred) more of the documentation.
